Social Media Product

Social Media Investigation Services has become an essential tool for any potential fraud investigation. It enables adjusters/clients to uncover potential fraudulent claims, locate witnesses and catch a subject in restrictive activities. Available directly through the ISB Order Centre, this state-of-the-art technology, along with our experienced social media investigators, is more time and cost-effective than traditional on-the-ground surveillance techniques and adheres to privacy legislation while providing court-ready evidence.

Police Report Requirements

Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA)

Police Report - Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) (product #45 in the ISB Order Centre) from details of an auto accident, this product provides a specified auto collision report. For specialized documents, such as an officer's notes and witness statements, order product #47 Police Report - Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) - Advanced Documents.

These fields are mandatory when ordering an MVA report:
  • Detailed location of the accident (Street and City/Town)
  • Occurrence/Police file number
  • Involved Vehicle Plate Number
  • Involved Vehicle VIN Number
  • Involved Driver's Licence Number
  • Involved Driver Name
Some agencies require the following additional information:
  • Toronto Police Department - requires the officer's name and badge number
  • Service Nova Scotia requires driver's date of birth

Incident/Occurrence

Police Report - Incident/Occurrence (product #46 on the ISB Order Centre) from details of an occurrence, this product can provide specified reports from a break and enter, vandalism, theft of vehicle, or theft from vehicle. This search can also provide fire reports filed by the police agency. For fire reports from the fire department, order product #49. For specialized documents, such as an officer's notes and witness statements, order product #48 Police Report - Advanced Documents for Incident/Occurrence.

These fields are mandatory when ordering an occurrence report:
  • Person's name who Reported the Occurrence
  • Type of Occurrence - Auto Theft or Vandalism, Theft from Auto, Fire, or Break & Enter
  • Detailed location of the accident (Street and City/Town)
  • Occurrence/Police file number
Additional information if a vehicle is involved:
  • Involved Vehicle Plate Number
  • Involved Vehicle VIN Number
  • Involved Driver's Licence Number
Most agencies require a completed consent form (requirements are subject to change). All consent forms can be found by clicking the 'HELP' tab in the Order Centre.

The following agencies require a specialized consent form:
  • Access to Information Lévis, Quebec, will accept the ISB General Consent form (also requires photo ID)
  • Edmonton Fire & Rescue Services
  • Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Services (FOI)
  • Guelph Police Service
  • Hamilton Police Service
  • London Police Service
  • Niagara Police Service
  • Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)
  • Ottawa Police Service (also requires photo ID)
  • Peel Regional Police
  • RCMP Access to Information (requires photo ID)
  • Sault Ste. Marie Police Service
  • Thunder Bay Regional Police
  • Waterloo Regional Police Service
  • Winnipeg Police Service
