Human Trafficking Disputes

If you were a victim of human trafficking and you are seeking to block or dispute information related to your human trafficking experience, please contact the ISB Global Services Compliance Team at 844.389.8889 or 404.963.9772.

What do I need to include with my request for ISB Global Services to remove information resulting from human trafficking?

For ISB Global Services to process your request and remove information from your consumer report that is the result of human trafficking, you need to submit the following documents and information in addition to your request:

1. Victim Determination Document. This is a document that determines you are a victim of trafficking, made by one of the following:

  • a Federal, State, or Tribal governmental entity,
  • a court of competent jurisdiction, which includes certain documents filed in court,
  • a non-governmental organization or human trafficking task force, including victim service providers affiliated with these entities, authorized by a Federal, State, or Tribal government entity,
  • a self-attestation by a consumer who identifies as a victim of trafficking that is signed or certified by a Federal, State, or Tribal government entity, court of competent jurisdiction, or an authorized representative of these entities, or
  • One or more documents from a court indicating a determination by a court that you were a victim of human trafficking in a case where a central issue is whether you are a victim of human trafficking. Court documents can be made up of several documents from the court case that together show that the court accepted as true or found no genuine dispute that you were a victim of human trafficking; and

2. Proof of identity. This may include copies of a government issued identification, such as a driver’s license, birth certificate, passport, Social Security card or W2 (make sure any photocopies are clear and readable); and

3. Statement of Adverse Information. This is a statement identifying:

  • the specific items of adverse information on your report that resulted from human trafficking that you are seeking to block or dispute, and
  • the mailing address (or email address) that ISB Global Services should use to communicate with you in writing about your request.

What if I have a designated representative filing the request on my behalf?

If a designated representative, like your attorney or a victim assistance advocate, is preparing your statement or submitting your request on your behalf, they must also include the following:

  • Proof of their identity, and
  • Documentation that you have authorized them to act for you, such as a valid Power of Attorney.
